See You in Berlin

While I’m writing this Anthony is somewhere over the Atlantic writing emails on his way to Berlin, while I will be traveling to Germany’s capital tomorrow – probably more comfortably – by train.  Why are we going to Berlin?  Because we are one of the ten finalists the 1 Mio. EUR zanox Web Services Contest 2008 honored enough to be presenting.

Coincidentally it’s Berlin Web Week and we will be attending a bunch of events. In case anyone else will be there we would be happy to meet you.

These are the events on our itinerary so far:

Of course our highlight is the Zanox Web Services Contest on Friday the 24th. Wish us luck!!

The winners will be announced later that day at the zanox Web Services Contest Finale Night of Innovations 2008.

When I followed the outgoing link from the AK-47 Ice Tray today I discovered something very interesting. The fine people over at squeeq greet every user coming from iliketotallyloveit.com to their site with the following message:

There is a new cool service out there that makes it easy to “see whether your username is available or taken across 63 web services” — and iliketotallyloveit.com is one of them — called UsernameCheck.com.

Mashable’s Pete Cashmore says it took him “two-and-a-quarter hours it just took to ‘catch ‘em all.’”  He did it. I did it. And So can you. It’s fun to watch it doing the work for you and you can feel good about yourself once you worked your way through them all.
